Can you create our content?
In Basic – yes. We work with copywriters, photographers and illustrators who have partially joined our system and also offer their services on a monthly basis.
Are printed materials or similar productions also included in the rate?
It is possible to include your required printed material in the rate up to a certain amount. For larger productions, such as corporate videos, it depends on our partners.
How does the printbrain network work?
We operate with a homogeneous technical basis that allows us to automatically provide customer A requirements to customer B, C, D if necessary. For this purpose, we use a network of designers, web developers, illustrators, video producers all over the world who also work according to the printbrain principle. In this way, we can customize already developed functions, layouts, designs, etc., and thus pass them on to our customers cheaply.
Is printbrain an advertising agency?
yes and no Simply looking for a horde freelancer is no art. But providing them with creative input and getting the best out of them in the interests of the customer is one. At printbrain we work with professional. So far as an advertising agency. The difference: We use the above mentioned homogeneous base that other developers provide us with and who also work according to our system. From this basis onwards, it is only our individual performance that begins.

What is the process?
After we have received the signed contract and in the best possible way your content from you, we will start setting up your website on our production servers. At the same time, we will discuss with you what special features and what objectives your website should have. As part of this consultation, we ask you a hole in your stomach-because we need to learn a lot about your business and how your business works to create your website in a customer-effective way. Your contents – such as texts or pictures – will be revised again by us in order to present them optimally on the Internet.
Functional dummy: The functional dummy is basically a forerunner of your website with demo content. We now discuss whether this is (visually) the rough direction with which we continue. Is everything okay we let your texts flow in and put your pictures in the website. Features you have booked are go to be implemented.
Live version: The live version is your (almost) finished website. We discuss the last corrections before the website is finally finished and we transfer it to your web space. Any changes you make after this stage of the project will now be billed using the service time you have booked.
Notes: Why a website should never be finished:
So is the desired and planned process – but our experience shows us, that it usually turns out differently. The time it takes to create your website varies. In the best case, you are already online in a few hours, in most cases it takes 1-2 weeks or even months. This is less up to us, but much more because many customers think in classic service patterns. ‘ I’ve got to get everything ready now so I don’t get extra bills afterwards. ‘ At printbrain, we grow websites over time, so that your content has not to be available in order to be online quickly. It is important to understand that having an effective little page online is better than a compendium of useless information that no customer wants to read. Your website can be expanded at any time via the service agreement. So you can immediately focus on the essentials and add it later, expand it or take something away – it doesn’t cost you more or less. This gives you the opportunity to try out what works and what doesn’t for your customers. A printbrain website is never set in stone!
What is the difference between service and maintenance?
Easy:
Maintenance affects important technical changes to your website. For example: a new version of the program or update eliminates the error and makes the system safer.
Service is always initiated by you as a customer. This means you need an additional page, a change to a text, or a new feature on the website.
What kind of service do I need?
Basically, you can service your website yourself – but if you need an advise or you simply just not whant to do it – you let us know and we do it for you. Why do something that doesn’t belong to your primary work when it can also be done by professionals for small money a month?
We would like to differentiate ourselves from our market companions, who offer for example, weaving boxes or extremely cheap website in order to get there money later over the service. As mentioned above, you can maintain your website yourself, we will look again and (if necessary) optimize your work. Alternatively, through our service it is possible to simply send us your change requests and orders by e-mail and we will then do the rest for you.
Since we work with a CMS (Content Management System), important updates should also be recorded. We do that as part of our maintenance, so you are always on the safe side.
- If you do not change anything on your Website, the 15 min maintenance isenough.
- If you have a low change requirement per month, we recommend the 30 Min service. (e.g. 2-3 text changes, maintenance, etc.)
- Do you have a blog and a lot of news, a growing range of services and need more pages and maintenance of the website? Then the 60 Min Service. is just right for you.
- Several employees work on your website, you have a lot of pictures that need to be edited, new pages are added and your range of services is constantly growing? Then book the 120 min service .
Our recommendation: Start with the 60-minute service
Your advantage: Other new pages and/or image editing are included. We also have the opportunity to work with you strategically on your website.
Can I collect service time?
Yes and no If you plan major changes to your website, which we should implement, you can save up to 3 service units by arrangement. (3 x 30 min or 3 x 60 min etc.) However, the booked service minutes must be used in the current booking year. Service time not used in the month is forfeited.
What is a legal review on a website?
The Internet is not a lawless space. On the contrary – because in Germany and the EU, a website operator is bound by various legal requirements. Unfortunately, some companies and lawyers have specialised in the unwitting misconduct of many website operators and are trying to make a lot of money here. In order to avoid also becoming the “customers” of such companies, we have included the “Legal Review” service in our portfolio. As we are not allowed to provide legal advice, this service is offered separately through an external law firm.
Our law firm checks your website to see if everything is in the sense of the law applicable in Germany and the EU listed correctly. The imprint, the privacy page and the content of the website are checked for legal consistency. If you wish, this service can also be booked permanently – please contact us about this. The settlement of legal advice takes place separately through the firm.
Alternatively, we offer free sample texts from e-recht24.de for imprint and data protection, which you only have to have checked and released by your lawyer.
Do I need to book a web space and domain with printbrain?
We would of course be happy – but no, we transfer your website to any web space with the associated domain that you call us. Webspace must meet the technical requirements that our websites, shops and blog systems require. However, these requirements are standard for most modern web hosts.
Current requirements:
1 web space and 1 domain
1 database
The current php and mysql version
To transfer the website, we need:
The credentials to your web space and FTP account.
Here we then set up the database and install the basic system and transfer the website
If the website is serviced by us, the FTP account must be available to us on a permanent basis.
General
Does the booked product belong to me?
Yes, after you have settled all open positions, the booked product is your property that you are allowed to use for yourself. This excludes any licenses we purchase from third-party companies that are subject to copyright, such as website templates, images/graphics and template templates. However, the use of these licences is granted indefinitely, limited in terms of space, within the framework of the licensing agreements of the providers. You are not allowed to reproduce the product, as the licenses may only be used for one product at a time. If you would like to have a product developed by us that you can resell as often as you like, you should let us know in advance, as we will then purchase appropriate licenses for you.
Can I terminate the contract early?
Yes, that’s not a problem. You tell us when you want to terminate the contract. We will then make you an invoice for the remaining amount, which is still open. After the invoice has been paid, you will receive all the access so that you can continue alone or with a new service provider. The contract regularly ends with the last monthly payment or is reduced to possibly booked additional services that have nothing to do with the product its self (e.g. hosting, domains). These services must be terminated in a written form, 3 months before the end of the contract. If no cancellation is received by us (informally via e-mail), the booked services will be extended for 1 further year. Before you cancel, we’d love to have a conversation.
When does the contract begin?
If you have returned the order or contract signed to us, the contractual relationship will start from the current month. We will start our work by receiving the payment of the first monthly instalment and the setup fee, an in case you have provided us with all the information we need to create your product. (e.g. Logo, Text)
Do I get a bill & how do I pay?
You will receive a copy of your contract when you enter into a contract. On this, the payment intervals – as well as the monthly installments are clearly noted.
It is up to you whether you want to pay annually, in the quarter or monthly. The payment itself will be processed by direct debit if nothing else agreed.
What is the setup fee for and why does it vary?
We try to keep your monthly load as low as possible. However, we go into advance with each customer and in addition we have purchase costs, which we have to pay directly to our service providers. (Templates, designers, programmers, servers, etc.). Depending on the product, the setup fee varies as different services need to be added.
